The Garden itself is largely wheelchair accessible, with routes sign-posted and most pathways being tarmac. You may find some routes are steeper than others and this can lead to difficulty with access.

Accessibility features: The castle is an old and historic building therefore the ground can be uneven and often cobbled. The castle is also built at the top of a dormant volcano, meaning it can be sloped in areas and mobility may be limited. Manual wheelchairs can be loaned on a first-come, first-served basis. A mobility vehicle can be requested for crossing the wooden bridge to the castle and has space for three guests including one wheelchair. There are adapted toilets on site and there are ramps and inclines throughout to provide accessible routes around the site.

There is lift access to the exhibits and accessible toilets on site. The theatre also has wheelchair spaces and ramps for level-access.
